What are cookies and what are they used for?

The website does not collect any information automatically, except for the information contained in the cookies. Cookie files (so-called “cookies”) are IT data, in particular text files, which are stored on the website user’s device and are intended for the use of the website. Cookies usually contain the name of the website from which they originate, the length of time they are stored on the end device and a unique number.

The entity placing cookies on the website user’s device and accessing them is the service operator IMPACT CLEAN POWER TECHNOLOGY S.A. with its registered office in Warsaw (00-116), ul. Świętokrzyska 30/63.

Purpose of cookies

The mechanism of cookies is not used to obtain any information about the users of the website or to track their navigation. Cookies used on the IMPACT CLEAN POWER TECHNOLOGY S.A. websites do not store any personal data or other information collected from the users, but it is possible that information obtained through the cookies will constitute such data.

Data collected in the logs is only used for the administration of the website.

The cookies are used in order to:

  1. adapt the content of the website to the user’s preferences and to optimise the use of the website; in particular, these files allow for the recognition of the website user’s device and the appropriate display of the website, adapted to the user’s individual needs,
  2. create statistics which help us to understand how the visitors use the websites, so that we can improve their structure and content,
  3. maintain a session of the website user (after logging in), so that the user does not have to re-enter his/her login and password on each page of the website,
  4. store information about the selected language of the site,
  5. store information about your consent to the use of the third-party vendor cookies (Google Analytics),
  6. collect information and report website usage statistics without personally identifying individual visitors to Google and to distinguish one user from another.

Third party cookies – are used by third parties to track a user’s visit to various websites where they place advertisements.

Type of cookies and their use

  1. ESSENTIAL cookies which enable the use of services available on the website, e.g. authentication cookies used for services that require authentication on the website.
  2. ANALYTIC cookies, enabling the collection of information about the use of the website’s pages.
  3. FUNCTIONAL cookies, which allow “remembering” the user’s selected settings and personalising the user interface, e.g. with regard to the selected language or region of origin of the user, the font size, the design of the website, etc.

Cookies storage time

“Session cookies” are temporary files which are stored on the user’s end device until the user logs out, leaves the website or switches off the software (web browser). “Persistent cookies” are stored on the user’s end device for the duration specified in the parameters of the cookies or until they are deleted by the user.

The collected logs are stored for an indefinite period of time as support material for the administration of the service. The information contained therein is not disclosed to anyone other than those authorized to administer the server and the impactnewenergy.com network. Statistics can be generated from the log files as an aid to administration. Aggregate summaries in the form of such statistics do not contain any identifying characteristics of visitors to the website.

The collected server logs, which include:

  • the public IP address of the computer from which the request was made (this may be your computer directly),
  • the name of the client station – identification via HTTP, if possible,
  • the user name given during the authorisation process,
  • the timing of the enquiry,
  • the first line of the HTTP request,
  • the HTTP response code,
  • the number of bytes sent by the server,
  • the URL of a website previously visited by the user (referer link), in the event that the impactnewenergy.com website was reached via a link,
  • information about the user’s browser,
  • information about errors which occurred during the execution of the HTTP transaction,
  • are stored for up to 6 months.

This data is not associated with specific individuals browsing impactnewenergy.com. In order to ensure the highest possible quality of the website, we occasionally analyse log files to determine: which pages are visited most frequently, which web browsers are used, whether the structure of the website contains any errors, etc.

Management of cookie files

Data sharing

Cookie files placed on the website user’s end device will not be used by entities cooperating with the website operator, advertisers and partners.
